Grids and Diagrams
The course is articulated in several exercises that will be graded for the final exam evaluation.
Werkstatte Weissenhof Siedlung, Structure Grammar Analysis is the first assignment focused on structural composition, its grammar, permanence and variations.
Students are required to select one of the Weissenhof Buildings and prepare a report containing the following sections:
- Short presentation of the author mainly focused on other similar project developed before1927.
- Building description. General narrative of the building, photo and explanatory pictures
- Structural Grids and Diagrams
- Structural BIM

Terrain Modeling is the first activtyt.
The exercise consists in the realization of the three – dimensional model of the ground with the use of two techniques:
1 automatic satellite extraction
2 extrusion from contours
Scale and form of presentation will be communicated in the classroom.
