DIPARTIMENTO INGEGNERIA “ENZO FERRARI”

The project is based on the client’s brief requiring an architectural settlement evoking the urban and architectural archetypes of the place. The urban plan is, therefore, divided into distinct functional buildings held together by a network of pedestrian paths and ‘Portici’ converging in a system of ‘piazze’ as meeting and socializing places. Consistently, brick was widely used for the facades with material counterpoints offered by light prefabricated panels made of Glass Fiber-Reinforced Concrete (GFRC).

The project was developed starting in 1995 by a multi-specialist design team on the basis of a preliminary idea developed by the client. As a partner of the CSPE architectural studio, Giuseppe Ridolfi developed the architectural part up to the envelope detailing.
